  1.     Intructions for Manual Installation of "VT-Compress for Windows" 
  2. Note: Although any disk directory name can be used, C:\XING will be used to
  3.       refer to the destination hard disk directory in these instructions.
  4.       Likewise A: will refer to the floppy drive.  You may use any floppy
  5.       drive or hard disk directory appropriate to your system.
  6. Step 1: Copy program files and sample image to hard disk.
  7.         COPY A:VTC.EXE C:\XING
  8.         COPY A:XINGDEMO.DLL C:\XING
  9.         COPY A:METERDLG.DLL C:\XING
  10. Step 2: Start Windows
  11. Step 3: Activate (select) the Group Box in which you intend to install the
  12.     VT-Compress program icon.  Click on the box title bar to activate it.
  13. Step 4: Select "File, New" from the Program Manager menu bar.
  14. Step 5: Select "Program Item, OK" from the "New Program Object" dialog box.
  15. Step 6: For program item properties, enter:
  16.               Description:    VT-Compress
  17.               Command Line:   C:\XING\VTC.EXE
  18.     Substitute (in place of C:\XING above) the actual drive letter
  19.     and directory into which you copied the VT-Compress program files.
  20. Step 7: Select OK to complete the installation process.
