Mah Jongg Tile Set Description
Tile Set Name: KIDPIX.TIL
Subject: Stamps in KIDPIX program by Broderbund
Adapted by: Marie Brewer
Description:
The wonderful KIDPIX program from Broderbund, credited on the box as
having been created by Craig Hickman, contains a utility whereby a
child can "stamp" small pictures on the screen, much as she/he can do
with a conventional rubber stamp. The stamps are the ideal size to
convert to tiles for Mah Jongg play. The artwork doesn't transfer in
the original colors, so a good bit of adaptation was required, both in
the color revision and in revising the tiles so that there would be
enough of them to comprise "sets".
No permission was sought for their use, but I do intend to send a set
to Broderbund/Craig Hickman to show them a new (I think!) use for
their creative program. My thanks to them and to Nels Anderson,
creator of Mah Jongg 3.51 and of TileMaker, used to design these
tiles.
The tiles included in this set are:
Tiles 1 - 9: (DOTS) Water animals
Tile 10: (WHITE DRAGON) White dinosaur
Tiles 11 - 19: (BAMBOO) Land animals
Tile 20: (GREEN DRAGON) Green dinosaur
Tiles 21 - 29: (CHARACTERS) Objects of fun (sports, toys, etc.)
Tile 30: (RED DRAGON) Red dinosaur
Tiles 31 - 34: (WINDS) Flying animals (birds, butterflies)
Tiles 35 - 38: (SEASONS) Sky (sun, moon, star, lightening)
Tiles 39 - 42: (FLOWERS) Transportation (car, truck, ship, boat)
KPIX.bat starts the program with the following parameters:
-n No title page
-c3 Cyan background
-ukidpix Use KIDPIX tile set
-y No Y/N prompt
I hope you enjoy the tiles as much as I enjoyed making them!!
