  5. Do you have a Gemini printer?  Have you found it almost, but not quite,
  6. 100% Epson compatible?

  8. I have a Star Gemini 15X dot-matrix printer, and I got tired of not being
  9. able to print out graphics with sign making programs, spreadsheets,
  10. business graphics programs and other such programs because of the unsightly
  11. white space that is found between the lines.  So I wrote a program that gets
  12. rid of it!  Now, with Gemini to Epson (GEM2EPSN), you can get good-looking
  13. printouts from banner-making programs, spreadsheets, and most any other
  14. programs that allow you to print out high quality images to the printer.
  15. Just by using the accepted (and sometimes not changable) Epson printer
  16. choice, you can get printouts the way they were meant to be!  Source
  17. code (in assembler) is available for $5 more.

  25. The "Brain" PC virus still lives.  You may have it on your floppy disks,
  26. and not know it!  I have written Vaccine, version 1.30 to search out and
  27. kill only this particular virus.  It only takes a few seconds per disk,
  28. and if it does find the "Brain" on your disk, it will erase it from that
  29. disk, without you having to reformat your disk.  Source code in Turbo
  30. Pascal 3.0 is included.  Free of charge when you send for any of the
  31. other programs, or available from your local BBS.

  39. If you have Telix, but have a different auto-logon file for each board,
  40. Login is the script file for you.  It answers the prompts for you for
  41. PcBoards, Genesis, QuickBBSes, RBBS PC's, Frontdoor/D'Bridge, and
  42. several other programs.  Also included is BBS2, a script that puts the
  43. name of the BBS that you are connected to, no matter where it is!  It
  44. works with Telix 3.12 and older versions.  Give it a try...you'll like
  45. it.

  53. If you are a QuickBBS sysop, and you have a favorite door, but that door
  54. would be a lot more exciting if everyone had alias names, then this
  55. little utility works wonders.  All your users do is answer a
  56. questionairre that puts their alias names in the answer file, then this
  57. programs reads the answer file and manipulates the dorinfo1.def file so
  58. that you have alias names for your favorite door!

  64. FILE SEARCH DOOR:

  66. This door program allows your users to do an online text search for a
  67. filename and/or two phrases, and this door will print out any matches
  68. found in multi-line entries to the remote user, with the option to save
  69. any matches to disk file for later download.  Full ansi/ascii file
  70. support, built in chat mode, user configurable disk buffer for fewer
  71. disk reads (up to 63k in size), user defined prompts, logging of all
  72. activites to a log file (for sysop use), and more.  Requires a
  73. fossil-based dorinfox.def system like QuickBBS/RA (for now -- I will be
  74. converting to a non-fossil based I/O library very soon).

  81. Are you a sysop running Murder Motel?  Add some excitement to your game
  82. by putting in Robot players (computer controlled opponents) that you can
  83. program to be as merciliess or as timid as you want.  They move around
  84. your motel according to the map (no random jumping around here), get new
  85. weapons and defenses, kill their target, with every action logged to a
  86. sysop log and the other normal Murder Motel files.  The sysop controls
  87. the number of moves the robots get, how aggressive the robots are, along
  88. with the names of the robots and other statistics.

  95. This utility program makes automated corrections in the Murder Motel
  96. data files.  It's main use was to fix errors produced with beta versions
  97. of Robot, but it can also fix up common errors when manually going into
  98. the data files and changing values around.

  105. This Murder Motel Utility Program is a full screen, hot-key based,
  106. Murder Motel Map Maker/Tester/Viewer/Editor. Features such as
  107. adding/deleting rooms and/or connections are simplified greatly. No need
  108. to restart a map from scratch when you reach the motel limit (if less
  109. than 300) -- it'll auto-adjust the appropriate data items. Includes two
  110. sample motels -- a 178 room Enterprise NCC 1701 (written by me) and a
  111. full 300 room map containing the above Enterprise plus a mining colony
  112. to explore.  Totally uncrippled.
