  8.   Blind since birth, he is able "to see" via a unique device called a
  9.   VISOR.  The VISOR allows him to see objects through thermal emmissions,
  10.   infrared, and other visual patterns normally available through a
  11.   computer.

  13.   Prior to his service aboard the Enterprise, he was stationed aboard
  14.   science vessel U.S.S. Saratoga.  Previous captains describe his work
  15.   ethic as extraordinary and all recommended him highly to Enterprise.

  17.   Aboard the Enterprise he has headed groups to explain time warp
  18.   distinction, served at opts, and even commanded the bridge during
  19.   a battle.
