  1.                   "Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress"

  5.      The B-17 served the U.S. from 1939 to 1944 with over 12,000
  6. of the various models produced.  Only a handful remain flying today.
  7.  
  8. "SOLID MODEL" techniques are used to keep any (bleed through) to an
  9. absolute minimum.
  10.  
  11.      Firing guns and dropping bombs:
  12.  
  13.           Want yo strafe your local field to clear the pattern, drop
  14. bombs on your boss's golf course or just to raise a little havoc over
  15. your noisy nieghbors? You'll need to borrow your armaments from the WWI
  16. ace game in your entertainment mode.  Refer to your FS4 manual for WWI
  17. ace game start up. 
  18.           Once your in position at the battle front airfield
  19. in "cardboard mountain" country in your sopwith camel, go to your
  20. aircraft library menu and select the Boeing B-17, or any of your other
  21. aircraft and [ESC] back to the front line.  Next, go to your Nav menu
  22. #5 to the position set option and plug in the coordinants of the field
  23. you want to fly from (set alt to zero just to be safe).  [ESC] out of
  24. the menu screen.  You're now ready for take off with a full load of
  25. bombs and enough ammo to assume complete right-of-way in the pattern!
  26. Refer once again to your FS4 manual for keystrokes to fire the guns
  27. and drop the bombs.

  34.                      for this file under your AAF directory.

  38.                           will use this file when you update the B-17.

  53. Note:    The flight model of Mallard's Sound and Graphics Upgrade P-51 was
  54. used as the original flight model for this B-17, adjusted and renamed as
  55. Fortress.sim for AAF processing.
