This is the fifth batch of SWOTL missions
I have created. It contains several files
that modify plane files and copy files to
safe temporary backups.
The B17FOE.BAT file must be run before
you attempt to fly any of the KG200 files
in this batch. This batch file will do
several things:
1. Both B17 SPC files will be copied to
duplicate files in the \AC subdir with
the extension of TMP for safety and to
allow for easy restoration of the files
later on.
2. Both B17 SPC files will be modified so
they function as German aircraft. While
this patch is in place the B17s will
not be attacked by German fighters or
fired upon by German flak guns or flak
towers. U.S. fighters will attack is if
it were a German aircraft.
3. The two DEMO files that run at the start
of SWOTL will be temporarily renamed.
This is necessary because the patches to
the B17s cause the program to lock up
when the demos are run.
B17FRND.BAT will restore all the files to
the way they were:
1. The B17F.TMP and B17G.TMP backup files
of the original B17s will be copied back
into their original SPC files. This will
restore them to the American side.
2. Both DEMO files will be renamed back to
their original names and will now run at
the beginning of SWOTL as they normally do.
B17FOE.BAT and B17FRND.BAT have to be in the
main \SWOTL subdir on you hard drive. The
B17FOE.TXT file must be inside the \AC
subdirectory. You must either have a path set
to DEBUG or have DEBUG itself inside the \AC
subdirectory for these files to work properly.
These files were designed for use on a hard
drive and may not work properly on floppy
drive-only systems.
