: Simbank :
In order to use the SIMBANK.EXE file, you must type the command in the
following way, no other way will be accepted and if not done this way you will
end up with $0 rather than the amount that you desired.
A:\SIMBANK [Name of town to get the money] [Amount desired]
Commas, Periods, And the Dollar sign ( $ ) are not allowed. If you type in the
amount with a comma, period, or dollar sign you will end up with $0. You can
use Simbank as often as you wish on any city and for any amount up to
$2,147,483,647.00. You can't go over this amount (why would you want to go
over 2.1 Billion Dollars anyways?). When you type in the name of the city, the
.CTY is not required in order to get the money. Below is an example of the
path for a new "default" city for the amount of 2.1 Billion dollars:
A:\SIMBANK HERESVIL 2147483647
That will credit your city with the 2.1 Billion Dollars.
Here is an example for a town named "Nowhere" for the amount of $65,495
A:\SIMBANK NOWHERE 65495
I hope that this .DOC file will explain the file better, when I got this file,
I had to learn to get the money by trial and error, with the wrong path
commands etc. (the only file was SIMBANK.EXE and that was all I had to go on).
I hope that you enjoy this utility as much as I have (makes making towns a
cinch!). If you like, this file and the SIMBANK.EXE file will fit onto your
original disk (disk#1) and can be installed along with the main program. I
reccomend that you keep these 2 files in the same sub-directory as the main
program, it makes updating the city files a whole lot easier. These 2 files
take up only 7942 bytes of space (8k).
Sincerely,
Bryan.
