There are a few new convenience features added to version 2.2. They are:
BOX CURSOR
==========
Some people said they'd like a more definite way to select tiles rather
than just using the mouse cursor. So, I've added a "box cursor" which
can be turned on and off. The box cursor will draw a box around
whichever tile the mouse is currently pointing at. With this feature
turned on, there can be no mistake about where the mouse is pointing.
If the tile's outlined, you're pointing at it!
This feature can be toggled on & off by presing the "B" key on the
keyboard. It's initially turned off when MJVGA22 is run. It can be
turned on initially by including a B on the command line
HALL OF FAME
============
I've included a "Hall of Fame" feature in MJVGA22, for what it's worth.
Now, when you win a game, if you're time is one of the ten best, you can
enter your name into this hall of fame (oh, boy!!). You can display the
Hall of Fame any time by pressing the H key. Then, click any mouse
button to return to the game.
You can edit or delete entries from the Hall of Fame fule by using the
utility program EDITHOF.EXE. You should read the complete documentation
found in the UTILITIES DOC file.
BOOK-MARKS
==========
There's now an easy way to set a book-mark (five, actually) so that you
can easily back up to a given place. I find this handy if I'm unsure of
which move I should make. I can set a book-mark and make a move. If it
turns out badly, I can easily back up & try the other move.
To set a book-mark, just press <SHIFT-1> thru <SHIFT-5> to set
book-marks 1 thru 5. To return to a bookmark, just tap it's number key
(1 thru 5). MJVGA will then step backwards just as if you were
repeatedly selecting the BACK-UP option until it returns to the marked
spot.
