  3. a file called /M143.DOC. This file appears incomplete. If any user finds
  4. this disk incomplete, the address shown below is the Australian supplier
  5. of the software. This company was still in operation October 1987.

  20. Genealogy ON DISPLAY is a program package designed to keep track of       
  21. family genealogy.  The programs can also be used to chart animal blood
  22. lines.
  23.  
  24. All of the programs, including the documentation, are written in BASIC.
  25. In order to print the 74 page user manual, you must run 7 basic programs
  26. all ending with the .DOC file extension name.  When the documentation is
  27. printed out, all the pages include a cut-out line so that the entire 
  28. set of documentation can be cut to IBM type binder size.
  29.  
  30. As distributed, the programs on the disk (including blank space for the
  31. system and BASIC ) take up the entire 320K of disk space.  It is       
  32. therefore recommended that you copy the .DOC files to a separate disk
  33. after printing the documentation.

  35. The program requires 96K of memory & a printer capable of printing 132  
  36. characters per line (can be condensed size).  The program will run under
  37. DOS 1.0, 1.05, 1.10, or 2.0.  Color is not supported but custom program
  38. changes can be made to give the desired results.

  40. When running the programs you must use the following command to invoke BASIC!
  41.     A>basic/s:256    <return>     'because the record size is 256 per record.

  43. NOTE: THERE IS AN UPDATE MESSAGE AT THE END OF THIS DOCUMENT.

  46. To set up this program for a double-sided diskette drive, place this   
  47. disk in drive B.  Place your DOS disk in drive A.  At the A> prompt type:
  48.      SYS B:   <return>
  49.      COPY COMMAND.COM B:/V    <return>
  50.      COPY BASIC.COM B:/V     <return>   'you may also use BASICA...

  52. To print out the first set of documentation, place this disk in drive A:,
  53. TURN ON your printer, and type the following at the A> prompt:
  54.              BASIC/S:256     <return>
  55.              LOAD"GENERAL.DOC"        <return>
  56.              RUN     <return>
  57.     Repeat the process above changing the file LOADed to read:

  72. should NOT be run.
