  1. QL40  represents  a consolidation of contributions  from  various
  2. [and occasionally incompatible] sources. The program's foundation
  3. was laid by  original author Nick Dobrinich,  who kept it  pretty
  4. quiet  during the 1.x series of revisions.  Liking the program, I
  5. added  in my own two cents in versions 2.1, 2.4 and  2.5,  inter-
  6. spersed  by more  updates from Nick.  Ross Presser then  took the
  7. reigns and made a series of enhancements (2.5a, 2.5b) while Bruce
  8. Morgen was busy making the program ZCPR3 compatible (2.6).  A bug
  9. fix  merged  2.5 into 3.0, and an attempt to merge 3.0  with  2.6
  10. resulting in a spotty 3.1 which appeared in various incarnations.

  12. What was originally an attempt to simply consolidate these incon-
  13. sistancies  and input from other sources ended up being a bit  of
  14. an  overhaul, but should manage to keep everyone happy (I  hope).
