  10.    VARPACK packs (removes redundant commands from) EASE history files.  It can
  11. also  be used  to shorten the files to  a specific number of records.  VARPACK
  12. can be used without having to leave EASE first.

  16.    Syntax:  VARPACK [nn] [FILENAME.TYP] [,P]

  19.       where nn = number of sectors to save.
  20.       FILENAME.TYP = EASE history file you wish to shorten.
  21.       ,P option specifies removal of duplicate command lines.

  27.    a. With EASE vs 1.6,  VARPACK  no  longer  defaults  to  packing  (deleting
  28.       duplicates).   This makes VARPACK fast  for startup aliases  to cut down
  29.       .VAR files to a certain file.of a prototype command line.
