  10.    ZDB (Z-Database) is a small (8K),  simple,  but very fast, name and address
  11. file with label and envelope  printing output,  sorting by last and first name
  12. or by zipcode,  and fast search.   It can also print a directory of the entire
  13. database and write an ASCII CDF name and  address file for use with MailMerge.
  14. Z-System dependent,  it uses some of the graphics  capabilities of VLIB4.  Can
  15. make use of  a clock for automatic dating of entries.   WordStar-style editing
  16. keys for data entry and updating.   New output options for labels.  Written in
  17. Z80 assembler and developed with ZMAC and ZML,  using  the V4LIBS.   Should be
  18. compatible with almost any Z80 system running Z-System.

  20.  Usage 
  21.  
  22.    Entering 'ZDB /<cr>' at the command line will  produce a help message.   If
  23. you also enter a data file name,  ZDB will look for it,  create it  if it does
  24. not exist, and display either a blank record (if it's a new file) or the first
  25. non-erased one in the file.   If  no  file  name is  specified,  ZDB  will use
  26. ZDB.DTA as the default data file name.

  28.    If you don't have an internal clock  (or have  a clock module loaded),  ZDB
  29. will ask for the current date.  If you wish to quit at this point, enter ^C at
  30. any time while entering the date.
