  9.                        UPDATING TO NZ-COM VERSION 1.2

  12. Providing software updates to customers requires a surprisingly large amount
  13. of time and effort.  On the other hand, we very much want our customers to
  14. derive the greatest possible benefit from the software they obtain from us. 
  15. Therefore, we have decided to adopt the following policy regarding updates
  16. to version 1.2 of NZ-COM.  It will not cost you very much money, and it will
  17. take the least amount of our time.

  19. You send the following to us:
  20.  
  21.   (1) Your original NZ-COM distribution diskettes with the disk format
  22.       clearly and precisely indicated (make sure that you have archival
  23.       copies of this material, since we will overwrite some files and
  24.       erase others to make room!);
  25.  
  26.   (2) A return address label;
  27.  
  28.   (3) A disk mailer suitable for returning the diskettes to you (this can
  29.       be a separate mailer or can be the mailer you use to send the
  30.       diskettes to us if the latter is reusable); and
  31.  
  32.   (4) $10 in the form of a check, money order, or stamps (if the other
  33.       two methods present a hardship).  If the package is to be returned
  34.       to an address not in the US or Canada, then either include an
  35.       additional amount to cover actual postage (otherwise we will ship
  36.       surface!).  If you cannot easily supply funds in US currency or stamps
  37.       (or for other reasons prefer to charge the fee), then you may use
  38.       MasterCard or VISA at a surcharge of $1.50.

  41. This offer will only apply when we are able to handle your disk format.  We
  42. can support 8" IBM SSSD, any 5" format listed on the Uniform or MediaMaster
  43. menu on an IBM AT, Apple CP/M Soft Card, NorthStar hard sectored format, and
  44. Amstrad 3".  In other cases, special arrangements will have to be made.

  46. We will send the disks back with the updated files in their own user area so
  47. that you can identify them easily.
