  3. 1.   Overview
  4.      VDO  (Video  Display Oriented) Editor is a small (7k)  ASCII 
  5. file full screen editor designed for use under CP/M 2.x. Portions 
  6. of  this  software  are (c)1982 by  Creative  Software  and  F.W. 
  7. Schneider.  This  software  is NOT public domain,  but  has  been 
  8. released  for  non-profit  distribution  and  use.  Use  of  this 
  9. software  for  profit  in any manner is  prohibited  without  the 
  10. express written consent of the author.

  12.      This  is  revision 2.5(b),  a revision which consists of  an 
  13. updated  object  file incorporating  patches  #1-#4,  the  latest 
  14. revision  (E) of the VTERM.DAT file and the VINST11  installation 
  15. files,  plus  all  documentation files,  making this  a  complete 
  16. distribution  package  for the new or old VDO user.  The  changes 
  17. that occured in version 2.5(a) include the following:
  18.  
  19.      - Support for terminals not featuring line insert/delete.
  20.      - Expanded terminal definitions.
  21.      - Default drive logging.
  22.      - Default drive directory display.
  23.      - Revised menu structure.
  24.      - Adjustable help level and help menus.
  25.      - Added support for hiliting, for terminals that support it.
  26.      - Implemenation of a 128 byte type-ahead buffer.
  27.  
  28.       This distribtuion library should contain the following files:

  31.                 VDO25B.MQN      VINST11.OBJ
  32.                 VPATCH10.OBJ    VPATCH10.MQN
  33.                 VTERM-E.DAT     VTERM-E.NOT

  35.       If any of thses files are missing, contact the person you
  36.       obtained the file from or the author.
  37.  
  38.      The changes in v2.5(b) include an updated VTERM.DAT file (E),
  39. an object file that has been patched with the patches (#1-#4) that
  40. are part of VPATFILA.LBR and a revised manual.  See the manual for
  41. details concerning bug reports, future work, etc.
