- Why should you register when you already have a working copy? While this
- version (2.0) of The Recipe Processor is complete and uncut, the registered
- version (2.2) contains additional features and enhancements. Registering
- will also entitle you to one free upgrade, when available. It will
- also encourage the author to continue to improve and upgrade the program.
- Last, the registered version does not have the opening "annoyance screen".

- 1. REWRITTEN FRACTION UNIT. FRACTIONS LIKE 23/43'S ARE NOW A THING OF THE
- PAST. ALL UNITS ARE ROUNDED TO THE NEAREST 1/16TH OF A UNIT.

- 2. UNIT CONVERSIONS ARE NOW POSSIBLE FROM THE INGREDIENT DISPLAY WINDOW. JUST
- PRESS F7, AND HIGHLIGHT THE UNITS YOU WANT TO CONVERT FROM, THEN HIGHLIGHT
- THE UNITS YOU WANT TO CONVERT TO. CONVERT BETWEEN TEASPOONS, TABLESPOONS,
- OUNCES, CUPS, PINTS, QUARTS, POUNDS, AND GRAMS.

- 3. SMART RECIPE SELECTION WINDOW. REFRESHES ITSELF FROM THE DISK ONLY WHEN
- RECIPES ARE ADDED OR DELETED. THIS RESULTS IN ALMOST INSTANT DISPLAY OF
- THE WINDOW AFTER THE INITIAL READ.

- 4. THE USER NAME WILL NOW ONLY ACCEPT UPPER AND LOWERCASE LETTERS, AND THE
- NUMBERS 0 THROUGH 9. THIS PREVENTS GARBAGE CHARACTERS FROM APPEARING
- IN THE NAME.

- 5. ENHANCED SEARCH BY INGREDIENT FUNCTION, ALLOWING THE ENTIRE DATABASE TO
- BE SEARCHED, OR, ALLOWS UP TO 26 USER CHOOSEN CATEGORIES FOR THE SEARCH.
- SEARCH FUNCTIONS CAN NOW BE ABORTED BY PRESSING ESC, OR TRUNCATED BY
- PRESSING F10.

- ENHANCMENTS:

- 1. Due to user request, recipe sub categories have been added. You can now
- have categories beneath categories! Examples: "DESSERTS PIES" or
- "DESSERTS PUDDING" or "POULTRY CHICKEN" or "POULTRY DUCK". The first
- category is the main, and the second is the sub category. Even with this
- new feature, the program is still 100% compatible with older databases! No
- conversions of any kind are needed when you upgrade to version 2.2!

- 2. Search by category and ingredient have been enhanced with the option to
- include sub categories in the search.

- 3. Improved formatted import routine. It now checks if imported categories
- exist in database. If not, gives you the option to add them on the spot.
- Import also works with sub categories. Import now displays status in
- bottom window. You can terminate import at any time by pressing esc.

- 4. NEW !!! Unformatted import routine. While the standard import feature
- requires a rigid file structure, unformatted import allows importing recipes
- from standard unformatted ASCII text files. Instead of typing, use block
- and paste methods to enter recipes. This is a great time saver!

- 5. Export now includes sub categories.

- 6. Enhanced RECIPE LIST function. You can now print a Directory of all recipes
- sorted by name or by category. The list can be sent to the printer or to
- the screen.

- 7. Recipes that are adjusted for new servings can be saved in the new adjusted
- form.

- 8. Improved internal error checking.

- PRINTING THE MANUAL:

- Before printing, be sure to align the printhead just below the page
- perforation. This will ensure that the forms line up correctly.

- calories are in each serving of your favorite recipes.
