Transcription: As it stands now, there is only the law of the gun in Somalia. Roving bands of heavily armed men saw protection from themselves or gunmen just like them. The people of Somalia are sick of it. A handful of US Marines landed off the coast just by the airport. It was a classic media event though, lights flashing and people desperately trying to ask the Marines some questions. And so this historic mission, the use of United States military force for humanitarian mission, now fully underway.
