  2.          INFORMATION ABOUT THE LENDER'S TOOLBOX INSTALLATION
  3.  
  4. (If using NotePad to view this file, maximize the window .  Select
  5. File|Print for a hard copy of this file.)

  7. The program requires Windows 3.1 (running in standard or enhanced mode)
  8. or Windows 95, and a minimum of 2 megabytes of RAM.
  9.  
  10. The file SETUP.EXE is a 'self-installing' setup program.  Select Program
  11. Manager's File | Run (Win 3.1x) or Start | Run (Win95).  At the 'Run'
  12. dialog box type the drive designator (and subdirectory, if applicable)
  13. where the setup program is located followed by '\SETUP.EXE' and press
  14. Enter.  After a short initialization period you will see a "Welcome"
  15. screen explaining what the installation program will and WON'T do during
  16. the setup process.  (You can abort the installation at any time by
  17. selecting the 'Exit Install' command button.)
  18.  
  19. ** NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE TO YOUR WIN.INI, SYSTEM.INI, AUTOEXEC.BAT,
  20. or CONFIG.SYS files by this installation program **
  21.  
  22. The following program files can be placed in any directory you wish (but
  23. they must be kept together - the setup program will let you choose the 
  24. target subdirectory for these files):
  25.     LENDER.EXE    The main program file
  26.     LENDER.HLP    The online Help & documentation file
  27.     LENDER.ICO    Icon for use with LENDER.EXE
  28.     LENDER.WRI    Additional information about the program
  29.     LENDER.INI    The program initialization file

  31. The following system files will be copied to your \Windows\System 
  32. subdirectory (if they are not already present):
  33.     VBRUN300.DLL    Dynamic link library
  34.     APIGUIDE.DLL    Dynamic link library
  35.     MSAFINX.DLL    Dynamic link library
  36.     RTREGW.DLL    Dynamic link library
  37.     CBK.VBX           Custom control used by LENDER.EXE
  38.     CMDIALOG.VBX    Custom control used by LENDER.EXE
  39.     VBCTL3D.VBX    Custom control used by LENDER.EXE
  40.     TBARSB.VBX    Custom control used by LENDER.EXE
  41.     THREED.VBX        Custom control used by LENDER.EXE

  43. In addition, a file named UNTOOLBX.EXE will be copied to your \Windows 
  44. subdirectory (Win 3.1x) or your program subdirectory (Win95).  This file
  45. gives you an easy method to 'uninstall' the program files, either
  46. automatically or by manual selection.  (A file named INSTALL.LOG will be
  47. created in your program subdirectory ... do NOT erase this file since the
  48. uninstall program uses this to 'undo' the changes that were made during
  49. the installation process.)

  51. Note: If earlier versions of any of the files are already present on your
  52. computer they will be replaced by more recent versions.  Later version
  53. files will NOT be replaced.  (The setup program will 'back up' any files
  54. replaced during installation, unless you choose NOT to have backups made.)

  56. The setup program will automatically create a new Program Group for the 
  57. Lender's ToolBox ... you can accept the default group name, choose a new
  58. or existing group name, or tell the setup program NOT to install a 
  59. Program Group/Program Icons.  Win95 users can choose to add the Lender's
  60. ToolBox to their Start menu.

  62. You are urged to view the Read Me file at completion of the installation
  63.  - it contains additional information concerning the program.

  66. If you continue to use this program after a reasonable evaluation 
  67. period you should obtain a licensed copy by completing the 
  68. registration form (included in the Lender Help file) and remitting
  69. the required fee.  In this way the author (and other shareware 
  70. authors) can continue to offer you quality software on a 'try 
  71. before you buy' basis.
