  4.       This version is a replacement for version 1.2 circulated on Fish Disk
  5.    #565.
  6.  
  7.       The primary aim has been to replace a reasonably effective but somewhat
  8.    unsavoury kludge used in the earlier version, that would have prevented
  9.    future development.  Advantage has been taken of the re-write to remove a
  10.    few minor bugs in both Compress and Unpack, and to enhance the programme
  11.    which is now even more efficient, particularly for pics and longer files,  
  12.    and decompresses even faster. Compression and decompression to and from
  13.    RAM is more friendly.  There is a marginal increase in compression
  14.    time, however compression speed is still ahead of anything else in the
  15.    PD area.

  17.       The penalty is that it has been necessary to change the file header so
  18.    that files or PACKS compressed with V1.2 will need to be re-compressed with
  19.    this version.   Sorry!
