  1. HP DeskJet 500 C driver V0.9    12/1/91

  3. This preferences driver for the Hewlett Packard DeskJet
  4. 500 C is a preliminary release for the Amiga.  To use it,
  5. copy it into the DEVS:printers directory and use preferences
  6. to select it.  It has been check under V2.04 of the Amiga OS
  7. and should work under 1.3 as well.
  8.  
  9. Limitations:
  10.     1) It does not incorporate the offset compensation
  11.         for ProPage as some other deskjet drivers.
  12.     2) It does not include data compression and so is
  13.         slower than usual.
  14.     3) The driver does not support color output for
  15.         text only for graphics.
  16.  
  17. These limitations should be corrected in a later version.
  18.  
  19. Notes:
  20.     1) The driver will cause the printer to request the
  21.         black cartridge for black and white or gray
  22.         scale output and the color cartridge for
  23.         color graphics output.
  24.     2) Please remember that this is a "first cut" of the
  25.         driver so don't use it for anything critical.
