  1. This archive contains Amiga versions of the Independent JPEG Group's JPEG
  2. software (October 7, 1991 release).  See the README file for more complete
  3. documentation.

  5. CJPEG converts from GIF or PPM to JFIF (the JPEG file format).
  6. DJPEG converts from JFIF to PPM or GIF (PPM is the default).

  8. Full source code should be available where you got this archive.

  10. PPM is the format used by the PBMPLUS utilities, available at better free
  11. software sources near you.
  12.  
  13. For both CJPEG and DJPEG, .030 versions are included that are compiled for
  14. the 68030 CPU.  They run about 20% faster than the normal versions.
