- Beef_Barley_Soup

- 3 qts. water
- 1 soup bone with meat
- 1 Tbls. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 cup reg. uncooked barley
- 3 cups chopped cabbage
- 2 cups sliced carrots
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 2 thinly sliced onions
- 12 oz. tomato paste

- Combine water, bone, salt and pepper in
- dutch oven. Bring to a boil, cover and
- simmer 1-2 hours. Remove bone, chop
- and put back in stock. Stir in barley, cook
- 30 minutes. Add remaining ingredients
- and simmer 30 minutes until tender.
