  9. This archive consists mainly of some amiga run-time libraries that will
  10. enable you, as an programmer, to render outline font on your Amiga. It will 
  11. also enable you, as an graphical designer, to create good looking fonts for
  12. your Amiga with a nice font editor.
  13.  
  14. The status of the project
  15. -------------------------
  16. This is the very first public release of this project, which implies:
  17. * it is not fully tested and finished, so you might encounter some 
  18.   "Software Failures", even though most parts of the programs and the 
  19.   libraries in this archive has been stable for quite some time (the 
  20.   beta testers are acknowledged at the end of this file).
  21.  
  22. * that some basic functionality is still missing, but should be enough for most
  23.   programmers.
  24.  
  25. * that the documentation is probably not sufficient and proof read.
  26.  
  27. A basic requirement for me to fix problems with this project, that may
  28. arise, is that I know that they exists.  Let me know if you find something
  29. totally wrong, undesirable, missing etc. and I will fix it.

  33. This file is a part of the vfont distribution.  It, and all other parts of
  34. this archive may only be distributed in companion with the other parts of
  35. the vfont distribution.  It may be freely distributed for non-profitable
  36. purposes only. You will find a list of content at the end of this file.

  38. Pleas read the ShareWare notice in the file with the same name which you
  39. will find under the 'docs' directory.

  41. Use these libraries and programs at your own risk.  The author is not to be
  42. held responsible for possible damages caused by this software (I don't see
  43. how it could).

  45. What to do next?
  46. ----------------
  47. You will probable want to install the libraries and try the demo programs
  48. next.  You can install this archive by executing the installation script
  49. which you will find in the 's' directory of this archive.
  50.  
  51. You can then run the programs from Workbench by double clicking the icons
  52. you will find under the 'bin' directory.
  53.  
  54. You can also read the included documentation in the 'docs' directory, which
  55. contains different kinds on textual information about this project. The files
  56. contains the following information:
