  3. What is Emacs?

  5.      Emacs is an editor that was written by a man named Richard Stallman at
  6. M.I.T.    Emacs is a very popular editor (in all of its incarnations) with
  7. people who need an excellent text manipulator.    It has many features that
  8. other editors only dream of.   You can experiment with Emacs because it
  9. comes with your Amiga!    It is on the Extras disk and is called \bold Memacs
  10. \bold which stands for Micro Emacs.  This is evidence that the folks at
  11. Commodore are "in the know" about what the \it cool \it editors are :^)
