- This image is rendered in Turbo Silver 3.0 SV solid-model mode.
- The paper shades and most of the other objects were created with Sculpt
- 3D and converted to Silver format with InterChange from Syndesis.
- The designs on the shades were digitised from a book of traditional
- Japanese patterns and colorised in a paint program. I also added the
- horizontal lines which suggest the thin bamboo ribs which enable the paper
- shades to hold their shapes. The image brushes were mapped to the shade
- geometry with Silver's brush-wrapping feature. The shades were made
- partially transparent by raising the "filter" attribute parameters.
- There is a candle inside each of the lanterns, and the flame of each is
- set to be a light source. There is also a small amount of ambient light.
- The 24-bit RGB file produced by Silver was loaded into ASDG's The Art
- Department in order to produce the final interlaced HAM image.
