  9.    This image is rendered in Turbo Silver 3.0 SV solid-model mode.
  10.    The paper shades and most of the other objects were created with Sculpt
  11. 3D and converted to Silver format with InterChange from Syndesis.
  12.    The designs on the shades were digitised from a book of traditional
  13. Japanese patterns and colorised in a paint program.  I also added the
  14. horizontal lines which suggest the thin bamboo ribs which enable the paper
  15. shades to hold their shapes.  The image brushes were mapped to the shade
  16. geometry with Silver's brush-wrapping feature.  The shades were made
  17. partially transparent by raising the "filter" attribute parameters.
  18.    There is a candle inside each of the lanterns, and the flame of each is
  19. set to be a light source.  There is also a small amount of ambient light.
  20.    The 24-bit RGB file produced by Silver was loaded into ASDG's The Art
  21. Department in order to produce the final interlaced HAM image.
