This Doc is written by LONESTAR from DDC 'sorry about the bad english'
released at the 17th of march
ATool.doc
after starting 'ATool' you'll get to the 'option-menu' every time when no
bootdisk is available after an reset.
1) 'Fastmemory OFF' will switch every memory expansion off,but there'll no
chipmem lost for df1:.if any programm won't work with this routine so
press the left mousebutton while resetting the system.
2) 'Showboot ON' displays the contents from each disk's bootblock in ASCII.
You can then choose if you want to skip the bootblock with left mouse-
button and if you press eighter the <ctrl> key the disk'll be installed.
if you press the right mousebutton,the disk'll be booted.
3) You can boot from any connected diskdrive,when there's no bootdisk in
df0: the next drive will be checked...etc..the bootdrive will change
to df0: and df0: will become external then.
4) 'Standard ON' <F2> every time there is a disk inserted that doesn't con-
tain a standard bootblock 'ATool' will warn you that there might be a
virus.
5) Copy for 2 drives.after pressing the <F7> key there will be a 90 sec.
copy-programm activated (only dos-disks).the copy will proceed after you
inserted at 1st the source- and 2nd the destinationdisk,the drive where
the 1st disk is inserted becomes source.You can restart the proceeding
by pressing the right mousebutton,left mousbutton will exit you from the
copy-programm and <esc> cancels.
6) by pressing <F6> you can select if you want 'Autoboot' 'ON' or 'OFF'.
7) 'Install' will automatically install every bootblock that seems to be
used by a virus.
8) after booting a virus-bootblock you can choose to kill that virus in
memory (left mousebutton).if you want to boot again too you have to press
the right-mousebutton.
9) you can kill 'ATool' with pressing <F10> (memory will be filled with $0)
if 'ATool' is installed and you start a 2nd 'ATool' will kill it too.
