  3. This is version 1.2, an update to the one originally sent to Fred Fish. It
  4. loads faster and takes up less disk space due to the data files being
  5. converted to binary format. A tiny bug in the radioactive isotopes window
  6. has been fixed too.
  7. It now allows more than one element to be opened at once, as well as any of
  8. the Info windows. This now makes close comparisons of more than one element
  9. possible. There is no limit to the number of element windows opened at once
  10. (except by CHIP RAM), but the screen tends to fill quickly with those
  11. windows, so any more than four at once would seem unnecessary.

  13. If there are any new releases, rest assured that they will be much smaller,
  14. because Lattice v5.0 is on its way!

  21. This is version 1.2a, an update to the update, with one minor bug in the
  22. element selection routine fixed, a "Quit" menu option and no CLOSE gadget
  23. on the main window (to avoid confusion - some people quit the program by
  24. accident), a slightly enhanced color map, and row indicators. It's also
  25. now compiled under Lattice "C" v5.02, and much smaller and slightly faster.
  26. Look for Elements II to be published soon by Softdisk Publishing, Inc,
  27. featuring extend-selected elements with pop-up bonding information (common
  28. bond geometries and percent ionic bond between the two), row and column
  29. information windows describing the rows and element groups, a non-interlace
  30. switch (reduces resolution, but gets rid of the flicker), an instruction
  31. window callable from a menu or the "HELP" key - (yes, I use the help key,
  32. everyone else out there writing programs, it's RAWKEY code 0x5F, guys!), and
  33. a test mode that pops up a window that asks you questions about the section
  34. you select (works with elements, groups, and rows).
