A1000 owners who want the full 500/2000 keyboard emulation!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And A1000/Sidecar owners running Janus v2.0
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Using ClockDJ v4.07's KEY ReMapping Functions
~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~
October 24th., 1989
If you're like me, have an A1000 with Sidecar (A1060) and have
just recently upgraded to Janus v2.0 Enhancer Software, then you've
likely found that the right Amiga + Help key combo, which is
supposed to be `Scroll Lock', and, the Ctrl + Help key combo,
supposed to be the PC `Break' key has a *conflict*. In fact, any
pressing of the Help key, in combination with *any* other key on
the A1000 keyboard ALWAYS brings up that %$^@$#%%^ `Help' window!!
Well, here's an `elegant' solution/workaround. `Runback' ClockDJ
(v4.07) from either a CLI, or better still, from your
S:Startup-Sequence with the following entries in the clockdj.keys
file which ClockDJ automatically loads.
Please read David Jenkins' doc and readme files for better and
more complete understanding of how ClockDJ works and all the
`features' built into it. I'd like to thank David for his help
and his excellent program!
[The following is my `personalized' clockdj.keys file, after
reading the docs you'll be able to figure out what does what
and customize your own! Enjoy. {You can always `cut' and
`paste' from this file to yours!! ;-} BTW, no Setmap usa1 is
needed! (The first 4 lines below remap the rA+KP7 key to the
500/2000's keypad ` ) + ALT ' ((with & without CapsLock on)),
to provide the keypresses necessary for Janus v2.0's PCWindow
emulation of Scroll Lock)]
Another `tip', the above `.scp' are small script files to start
up the various programs with their own CLI in/out for a maximum
flexibility and multitasking environment,
eg: djShell.scp contains just two lines;
CD RAM:
NewShell newcon:0/10/590/390/AmigaShell(dj)
and resides with the others in the root of JH0:, as do ClockDJ,
clockdj.keys, and clockdj.config.
As usual, you use the above info entirely at your own perogative,
I assume no liability whatsoever in your use of it!
