- CHANGES V2.1
-
- 1. Added screen and colors.
- 2. Added autosave option.
- 3. ON/OFF option for requester prompts.
- 4. Editor highlights changes.
- 5. Editor Accepts standard keyboard mappings.
- 6. Added a file-position sliding bar gadget.
- 7. Added cruise control.
- 8. Added a filerequester for PRINT and OPEN.
- 9. Option for HEX search.
- 10. Option for case sensitivity (string search).
- 11. Search jumps automaticly to the editor if a match occurs.
- 12. Rewrote some of the program-structure to accommodate the new
- changes.
-
-
-
- (2) AUTOSAVE is simply an option that will, if you have made any
- changes to a record, automaticly save the new changes (first asking
- you if that's ok, of course) when MOVING to a new record.
-
-
- (3) The ON/OFF OPTION FOR REQUESTER PROMPTS lives up to the name.
- One word of caution though, if AUTOSAVE (2) is turned on and (3) is
- turned off, FEDUP wont ask whether you want to save the changes or
- not (in fact, it will never ask you about anything. It will simply
- remain in the darkness. At the edge of dawn. Laughing at you whenever
- you do something really wild). Use it carefully.
-
-
- (7) CRUISE CONTROL = STRL (Something Textcraft Really Lacks).
-
-
- (9) HEX SEARCH does (more or less) what it is supposed to do.
- At the prompt, enter the key in hex notation (ie. "ff,FF;aB 1A1B",
- and so on: FEDUP doesn't care how you enter it (ie, the delimiter)
- as long as the values are 2 digits long (ie. "A1A1", "A1 A1",
- "A1,A1", etc)).
-
-
- (10) CASE SENSITIVE SEARCH is now possible (wow!) when you're
- searching for a string (and only when you're searching for a
- string- you really don't have to bother to use that option at
- all if your sole purpose and primary destination is a simple
- HEX search).
-
-
- (12) Pretty obvious.
-
-
-
- SOME FINAL NOTES
-
- You may terminate SEARCH and PRINT by pressing ESC.
- If a file R/W error (also applies to PRINT) is detected, click on
- the CANCEL gadget to resume operation. If you select OK, FEDUP
- will terminate itself (think of it more like a "OK - the error finally
- caught me after all. I might as well give up. Where's the gun?",
- and "Eh, let's just pretend that this never happend... and CANCEL
- the error").
-
-
- Suggestions, comments and so on are actually appreciated.
- If you find any bugs, please let me know about them. Enjoy.
