  1. This is a port of the GNU ISpell program for the amiga.  The source
  2. was obtained from prep.ai.mit.edu:/u2/emacs/ispell.tar.Z.  
  3.  
  4. To compile this program you will need:
  5.     a) manx "c" compiler version >= 3.4
  6.     b) 1 megabyte of ram. The buildhash program is a pig.
  7.     c) room enough on your disk to fit the dictionary, hashed words,
  8.        object modules. ~0.5 megs.
  9.     d) cp makefile.amiga makefile
  10.     e) edit the makefile to set installation directories.
  11.     f) type "make install"
  12.     h) enjoy.

  14. To install the binary version of this distribution:
  15.     a) cp ispell "your bin directory".
  16.     b) cp ispell.hash sys:s
  17.     c) make sure that sys:t exists (temporary files get created here).
  18.     d) enjoy.

  20. I have tested this program on a 1000 w/ 3 megabytes of ram and on a
  21. 2000 w/ 1 meg.  I do not know if ispell will run on other systems. I
  22. make no guarantees..(the usual stuff)... I will however read your 
  23. hate/praise mail, and maybe fix problems.
