-
- Amiguy has returned to the basketball court. Because of the popularity
- of BoingThrows, Amiguy has picked up the BoingBall again after taking
- some lessons from Julius Erving (Doctor J).
-
- To view this animation you will need the PD program Movie written by Eric
- Graham. Just copy the Movie program, the Doctor_A animation and .info file,
- and the sound files (.8svx) onto a disk or directory. With an Amiga that
- contains a minimum of 1 megabyte of memory, just double-click on the
- Doctor_A icon to view the animation with sounds.
-
- This animation can be viewed on a 512K Amiga, but there are several
- restrictions: You must not be running Workbench, there will not be
- enough memory to play the sounds, and the Amiga will probably crash when
- when the animation is finished. However if you would like to just view the
- animation, boot with your Workbench disk, and then as soon as the first text
- appears on the screen during startup, hit Ctrl-D. This will interrupt the
- startup-sequence without loading Workbench. Now insert the disk with all the
- Doctor_A files (including Movie) and just type "movie Doctor_A". No sounds
- will accompany the animation, but the entire animation can be viewed until
- you hit escape, at which time the machine will probably crash.
-
- This animation is a 55 frame animation created with SculptAnimate-4D.
- 21 of the frames are keyframes, and the tweening ability of SculptAnimate
- was used to create the other 34 frames. I now own a Commodore 68020 card,
- so with it and SculptAnimate-4D, each frame rendered in approximately 40
- minutes. (Compare that to the 10 hours per frame of BoingThrows using the
- original Sculpt-3D and an Amiga 1000 with a 68000 processor).
-
- If you own either SculptAnimate-3D or SculptAnimate-4D and at least 2.5 meg
- of memory, I will be happy to provide you with all the necessary files
- needed to create this animation. This includes the 21 keyframe scenes,
- the global scene, the take, and a script file with some macros used for
- posing Amiguy. All you need to do is send me 3 disks, preferably ones that
- have objects that you've created on them (or any other Public Domain 3D
- objects you might have collected), and I will return the disks with the
- files mentioned above and some directions and tips on how I created the
- animation. The address is:

- Please feel free to distribute this animation to all Amiga owners everywhere,
- just leave all the files including this one in the distribution. I also
- allow the animation to be used in videos, commercials, etc., but I would
