- The Estimator Version 1.0J
-
-
- Copyright (C) Dexter (Chip) Orange, January 1988.
-
-
- The Estimator is an utility designed
- to be used in conjunction with The Backer to allow
- you to determine ahead of time how many disks will be needed for a
- particular backup. The syntax is:
-
-
-
- ESTIMATOR <source> [ALL|NEW]
-
-
- <source> is the directory/drive to be estimated,
- and NEW/ALL indicates whether all files
- in <source> or only those whose archive bit hasn't ben set are
- to be backed up.
- You should run The Estimator immediately before
- performing the backup.
-
-
- The Estimator, like The Backer and ArchStatus, is freely
- distributable for non-commercial purposes. It may be distributed with
- commercial hard drives as long as no extra charge is made for it.
