The Original MultiMedia Disk Magazine for the Amiga!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Accept NO Substitutes!
Published every other month by AMnews Corp. and edited by Peggy Herrington,
New AMnews consists of three FULL disks of Amiga art, music, animation,
news, articles, commercial program demos, productivity programs and just
plain Amiga fun. And New AMnews' trademarked AMovie Mode lets you sit back
and scan through each issue like flipping through a magazine (except that
mags don't have background music and animations) provided you have a
1-megabyte system, although the entire contents are available on a 512 Kbyte
Amiga, as well.
AMnews doesn't do what paper does already: You can adjust its revolutionary
smooth-scrolling text to move down the screen at your personalized reading
speed, watching animations, running programs and tapping your toe to
Amiga-produced music like OnlyAmiga and other well known and original
songs. Hands-on Music, Art and CLI Lessons are in each issue along with
articles by leading Amiga writers like John Foust, Harv Laser, Sheldon
Leemon, Lou Markoya, Bob Lindstrom, Denny Atkin, Joel Hagen and, of course,
Peggy Herrington.
New AMnews is available at your local Amiga Dealer, B.Dalton, Walden Books,
Software Etc. and other retail outlets for $14.95 an issue, or by annual
subscription for $79.95 (MasterCard and VISA accepted) from AMnews Corp.,
P.O. Box 1389, Guerneville, CA 95446, telephone 707/887-9708.
Issue numbers 1, 2 and 3 are available now. The Jan/Feb edition, #3,
included an excerpt and running demo from Rob Peck's AmigaWorld book The
Amiga Companion, SuperBase Pro templates, the game Wanderer, news from
World of Commodore and Comdex shows and some dynamite art by Brian Williams
the creator of the fabulous Walker Demo, among other things. Future issues
will include even more great demos, utilities, games, and graphics, so keep
an eye on your newsstand, because....
AMnews travels -fast-!
