The animation file STS.ANIM in this archive was created with Sculpt-Animate
3D and is of the Space Shuttle Orbiter rotating about its vertical axis in
60 ray-traced frames played back at 15 frames/second. Total rendering time
was approximately 80 hours. Use Eric Graham's NewMOVIE player to view the
animation, or load it in directly to Sculpt-Animate. Using NewMOVIE, the
animation can be viewed with 1 meg RAM. From S-A, 1.5 meg is required.
Please note that the Orbiter in this animation is NOT, repeat NOT, from the
Space Shuttle/Space Station 3D object disk currently on the market. The
Orbiter object used for this animation was painstakingly built by myself
over a period of many weeks. The geometry is of extremely high fidelity -
surfaces are accurate to within an inch or two in general. NO smoothing
was used - the Orbiter surface mesh consists of nearly 2500 polygons.
I hope you enjoy the results of my first major creation with Sculpt-Animate
3D. If anyone would like to give me feedback or discuss 3D animation in
general, I can be reached on:
