  2. If you aren't sure whether or not this program will be useful to you, please
  3. read the snip.doc file right through. There are a *lot* of situations where
  4. this program can be helpful, and I've made it as flexible as possible.

  8. Possible uses:
  9.  
  10.     - importing text from a terminal program, CLI window, or really any
  11.       window into any word-processor/text-editor
  12.     - taking commands, parts of commands, one or more filenames etc from
  13.       the screen and feeding them back as new input
  14.         - this can be within a terminal program: a filename to download,
  15.           a Unix command someone else is executing, a number you want
  16.           to re-dial but don't have bound to a function key
  17.         - from within a CLI you can re-execute a command you gave in that
  18.           or in another CLI
  19.         - you can snip multiple filenames from a directory listing and
  20.           apply some command to them, eg delete, less, or copy
  21.     - keeping a record of what comes up on your screen by sending output
  22.       to a file or the printer (or the clipboard or a pipe)
  23.         - something someone says in an on-line conversation
  24.         - an e-mail address, short example program or anything else
  25.           you want to quickly and efficiently download without having to
  26.           edit it
  27.         - program output that you want to remember without typing it in
  28.           again, or re-running the program (eg compiler errors)

  32.     - works with any window, whether opened by the console device or not
  33.     - flexible output options; output destination can be changed at any time
  34.     - source is included so you can customize to your heart's content
  35.     - works with any 8 x 8 font; you can use the supplied SNIPGEN and
  36.       SetFont programs to create a font definition file for Snip to use
