Here's a freely distributable demo by 3 guys from the Netherlands that
call themselves APart. Arnout, Bert and Peter. It's done with the
Director, but the script is not included. You have to reboot to
stop it, probably because they're using some kind of a music
player program called "play" that runs forever, so they decided to
disable any abort while running. You will also have to name the disk
on which you put the demo "APart", or use an "Assign APart: ..."
command so it can find where it's files are.
This is an example of some creative blitter techniques, and they're
definately taking good advantage of Director capabilities in this
area.
"Play" is included, but the projector and it's icon are not. You
should be able to find them elsewhere on the system you downloaded
this from. Remember that you need the projector's icon as well as
the .film file's icon to be present in order to run Director films
from the workbench.
To run, name a newly formatted disk "APart:", copy all this stuff to
it, add the projector and it's icon and do an "execute execute.me"
Make sure that arc is somewhere in your search path as execute.me
uses it to de-arc the pictures into their own directory.
