The file "Execute.Me" will copy these fonts from the current directory
to the current Fonts: directory.
The fonts Basic/32, Basic/28 and Basic/20 have been designed for basic
titling requirements in 640x400 resolution mode. When viewed from the
composite video output of the Amiga (or genlock) they have minimal
"jaggies". They are loosely patterned after that ever-popular typeface,
Helvetica Medium.
Note that the name "Basic" refers to "a basic font" and not the BASIC
computer language.
Some of the ASCII codes have non-standard symbols:
Hex Symbol Keytop
--- ------ ------
3C Left Arrow Less Than
3E Right Arrow Greater Than
40 Bullet At Sign
5B Check Mark Left Bracket
5C British Pound Back Slash
5D Copyright Right Bracket
5E Up Arrow Carat
60 Degree Back Apostrophe
7B Registered Left Brace
7C Down Arrow Vertical Bar
7D Trademark Right Brace
7E Cent Tilde
Before someone points it out, some of the rounded letters are indeed
taller than the other letters. This was done purposefully.
All comments welcome.
