  6.     This update differs from the previous one mainly in that 132 columns are
  7. are now supoported using two new fonts. They are modified versions of the one
  8. that came with VT100 2.6, on one of the Fish disks. Also, the control sequence
  9. <CSI>...p has been modified to include the number of columns as the first
  10. parameter. The last parameter is as before the number of lines. It no longer
  11. matters which parameter this is as long as it's last, but it is recommended to
  12. use the second one. Also the standard VT100 sequences for setting 132 column
  13. mode (<CSI?3h) and going back to 80 column mode (<CSI>?3l) are implemented.

  20.     This update differs from the previous one mainly in improved handling of
  21. REXX commands. Multiple RX commands from the same .scp file are now supported,
  22. and REXX commands can now be sent to VLT even though an .scp script is active.
  23. These features have not yet been extensively tested, so let me know your
  24. results. Also a bug introduced in 3.598 was fixed.

  31.     This update differs from the previous one only in that the Tektronix
  32. screen now is also public. Its name is VLTTEK. The screenshare.library is
  33. somewhat smaller, but is functionally the same.

  40.     This is an update of VLT, as described below. If this is the first
  41. time you've downloaded it, read the section about the previous version first.
  42.     This version has most reported bugs fixed, but not many enhancements, on
  43. the theory that enhancements usually introduce more bugs: the intention was to
  44. get a solid version out there first before adding new stuff.
  45.     Among the changes are: ScreenToFront/Back() in rexxarplib were fixed,
  46. rexxarplib now has functions to retrieve the screen size and interlace status;
  47. the Tektronix (tm) emulator supports some more sequences and eats others; it now
  48. looks for TekStore: and will open the temporary graphics file there instead of
  49. in ram: (for those that have little ram: but sufficient disk space); Kermit was
  50. modified to work also on CDC's (thanks, s_walton!) and a host of bugs were
  51. fixed. Also, the script command FLUSH was added. It flushes the capture buffer
  52. out to disk (or wherever it was capturing to). This is useful for capturing to
  53. the new 1.3 SPEAK: device, for example. Not everything was fixed: the command
  54. parser is still the same and therefore Wait and On etc. still don't work.
  55.     This version is a zoo archive, because it supports long filenames and
  56. also path specifications. Therefore, there are no more executeme files.

  64.     You have just downloaded an archive containing the executable files for
  65. the terminal emulator VLT. VLT is both a VT100 emulator and a Tektronix
  66. emulator, currently in use at SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center).
  67. Although the VT100 part was originally based on Dave Wecker et al.'s VT100, many
  68. enhancements were made.  I won't go into any details at this point. The main
  69. documentation file is not yet ready and will be posted later. For now, if you
  70. have questions, you will have to ask them on BIX in amiga.user. I expect the
  71. documentation to be ready by next week, though...
  72.     This program uses ARP, so in order to run it you need arp.library in
  73. your libs: directory. You better make sure you have ARP 1.1, or else nasty
  74. things may happen!
  75.     This program is NOT in the public domain. However, you may freely use
  76. this program for any purpose, and are encouraged to distribute it wherever you
  77. want. The author (me) does not, however, accept any responsibility for
  78. suitability for any particular purpose, or for any damages that may occur as a
  79. result of the use of this program, etc., you get the picture... 8-) .
