  78. CoComm is a terminal program that has been  designed to make your interaction
  79. with CIS Forums easier, more fun, and more effective.

  81. CoComm does this by addressing three particular areas;
  82.  
  83.                               1 - File Transfer
  84.  
  85. CoComm implements CIS's "Quick  B"  protocol.  This  is currently the fastest
  86. protocol that CIS supports; it is  an  "automatic"  protocol  -  that is, you
  87. don't need to use any  menus  or  control  characters  in  CoComm to initiate
  88. upload or download operations -  Simply  follow the prompts that CIS presents
  89. to you in the  data  libraries  and  the  file  transfer  will  be completely
  90. automatic. Quick B really  shines  when  the  network  is busy. CoComm's file
  91. transfer operations display a full-featured  status window during both upload
  92. and download operations, providing  a  constantly  updated  display of blocks
  93. transferred, time to go, and other relevant information.

  95.                               2 - Conferencing

  97. CoComm enhances Conferencing on CIS with the following features:
  98.  
  99.     - A Chat window which;
  100.          - Provides full editing... cursor movement, insert, delete char,
  101.                                     delete word, cursor fwd/back by char,
  102.                                     by word, by line.
  103.          - Optional Wordwrap with user-settable wrap sensitivity;
  104.          - Formal Conferencing line termination capability:
  105.              - When wordwrap occurs: "..."
  106.              - When you hit c/r:     " GA"
  107.          - Previous line retransmission;
  108.          - Fully sizeable;
  109.          - Remembers the size/position you like - and starts that way!

  111.    - Can provide fully automatic /sen (private message) operations...
  112.         - Mouse-driven! 
  113.         - By NAME, not job #! 
  114.         - With color highlight!

  342. CoComm is Shareware; We ask that you  send  us $15.00 if you like and use the
  343. program.... AND ONLY if  you  can  afford  it!  If  not, well, use it in good
  344. health, don't feel paranoid, and just in general, don't worry about it.

  346. Is there an advantadge to paying that  $15.00  ???  Certainly; there are two,
  347. actually. First, and most  importantly,  we  put a lot of work into this, and
  348. we're using  it  to  test  the  waters,  so  to  speak.  If  it seems to be a
  349. reasonable way to make  software,  we'll  keep  doing it - and that helps the
  350. Amiga community in general, and that  helps  YOU!  Secondly, When you send us
  351. that $15.00, we send you  a  manual;  Written  carefully,  and  formatted for
  352. immediate printing, it contains detailed  descriptions of every mode, option,
  353. limitation, and capability in CoComm,  as  well as the latest version. We ask
  354. that you keep the  manual  to  yourself,  as  that  is  one of the motivating
  355. factors for the Shareware contribution.

  357.                         Future Updates and Revisions
  358.  
  359. CoComm is in constant use by the  person  who wrote it - Ben Blish - and that
  360. means that if it misbehaves, it gets fixed. Right away. Then it gets uploaded 
  361. to CIS - also right away. So you are assured  of a reliable term program, one
  362. that is "live", not just finished,  book  closed,  done, never mind the users
  363. and/or the bugz.
