This is one of the demos from a new product called
"APPRENTICE animation" I ordered this demo from the
company that produces it, Hashnique, and then got
permission from them to upload this and other demos.
I haven't actually used the program but from what I
understand it is an animation system specializing in
organic forms (ie. Plants, Animals, Creatures, People,
Smurfs, Dinosuars) First you design the Creature's
skeleton and then you "flesh it out". This allows the
program to generate the creature and allow you to
manipulate it as you would a model. (Kind of like the
way LucasFilm does some of its more complex creatures.)
I'm not sure how far the program takes this approach but
it would also allow the muscles to flex. All of these
goals would be much harder to achieve on most of the
other 3D modeling systems available for the Amiga or for
that matter any other computer.
I hope I've understood the description of this program
correctly. Anyway, the results will speak for
themselves!
Put all the files from this ARC file in the root
directory of an disk named "frames". Make that disk the
current directory and type
execute execute.me
After it has finished. Go to the WorkBench, Open the
disk and Double Click on "display". Click once on
"trex.SPACE4096L" and then on "LOAD". It will take
about 2 minutes to load. Once it loads it will start to
animate. The left mouse button will single step forward
thru the steps, the right button will step backward.
Pressing SPACE will restart the animation and ESC will
exit the program.
THIS DEMO REQUIRES 1 MEG!
