- Making data backups:
- If you do not want to backup to whole disk you can copy all or some of
- of the data files depending which ones that you have added data.
- Here is a list of the file names:
- 1. "cal.data". It has 366 records. Each record is 310 bytes. It holds
- the daily data records.
- 2. "diary.data`year'". Each time an entry is made into the diary one
- record is added to this file. Each record is 520 bytes.
- 3. "diary.index`year'". Each time an entry is make into the diary one
- record is added to this file. Each record is 2 bytes. This contains
- the month and day of the diary entry into "diary.data`year'".
- 4. "cal.symbol.dat". This file has 12 records, 32 bytes each. This file
- tells calendar where to put the symbols for each month.
- 5. "pay.scedule". This file has 18 records, 39 bytes each. This holds
- the data for the payment scedules.
-
- If you make copies of files:
- 1. Copy "cal.data" and "cal.symbol.dat" in tandem. (Do not copy one
- without copying the other.)
- 2. Copy "diary.index`year'" and "diary.data`year'" in tandem.
-
- If somehow you loose "cal.data" or want to start up a new data base,
- Amiga Calendar will initialize a new "cal.data" and a new
- "cal.symbol.dat" if there is not one on the disk. This will take a
- couple minutes to process.
