2/04/87 Press Release
BCS SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES NEW PROGRAMS FOR THE VIDEO PROFESSIONAL
SYLMAR, Calif, Feb. 4, 1987---BCS Software announces the
introduction of three new time code programs for the Amiga computer.
Initially NTSC 30 frame only, they will soon be offered in 24 and 25
frames per second versions. These programs are great time-savers for
anyone involved with video, film or audio post-production.
EDLP is an Edit Decision List Processor program that allows a
video or audio editor to create the edit list off-line at home or
office, thereby saving a lot of time and money at the edit session.
It features drop and non-drop frame formats, full-screen editing,
split edits in color and direct transfer of data to and from a CMX
compatible editor.
TCWD is a Time Code Window Display program that allows the Amiga
with genlock to double as a character generator for creating window
dubs. Replacing dedicated equipment costing thousands of dollars, it
is completely frame-accurate, and includes selectable one-frame
lookahead and font size, free-run mode, and color bar/tone generator.
TCCT is a Time Code Continuity Tester program that continuously
monitors for errors or "glitches", and builds a list of errors,
including the time of day for each error. An audible alarm can be set
to sound on each error. Invaluable for testing and troubleshooting
time code equipment, it also alerts the customer to bad time code
during an expensive edit session.
BCS Software is dedicated to providing better and easier to use
software for the professional. Coming soon is the Time Code Edit
Lister for automatic logging of edited tapes, the Time Code Event
Recorder for building event lists quickly and easily and the Time Code
Cue Controller to let the time code control external devices like
switchers and character generators.
BCS Software, founded in 1984, produces professional software for
the video, film and audio industry for the Amiga and Apple computers.
