Special Features
* Full screen editor.
Just point to the column or character you want to change and press the
mouse button. The cursor will jump to that spot. Or use the arrow
keys to move the cursor around on the screen. Pressing RETURN will
cause the cursor to jump to the next column. Use the sliding gadget
to scroll through the list. Press control-P to grab the character from
the previous event.
* On-screen prompting for any cursor position.
No matter where you are in the list, instructions will appear at the
top of the screen telling you what the program is waiting to see. If
you enter a non-valid character, a red error message will also appear
at the top of the screen, telling you what you did wrong.
* Automatic column formatting.
Any entries in the TRACK or TYPE column are automatically capitalized.
The TRACK column is automatically cleaned, so that if you enter a B
(for both), V/A will appear there instead. Also, when entering the
source in and out times, the cursor will skip over the separators
(colons).
* Easy error recovery.
If you make a mistake, just press the ESC key to recover the line you
are working on.
* Split edits in color.
Video only edits are pink, audio only edits are slightly green. This
makes it very easy to work with split edits.
* Comments in color.
Each event may have a comment of up to 72 characters. The comment is
displayed slightly blue to make the list easier to read.
* Automatic Pull-up or Ripple on every change.
Whenever you make any change, the entire list is rippled to give the
correct record in and out times. Any errors caused by mismatched
split edits are flagged.
* Automatic event numbering.
As you cut and paste, the events are automatically renumbered.
* Selectable drop or non-drop frame modes.
* Selectable record skip frame mode.
Some editors require the record in time of one event to be one frame
greater than the record out of the previous event. Others require
them to be the same. EDLP gives you the choice.
* Settings saved with data.
* Delete, insert, and copy events.
* Capacity of 300 lines of data (including comments).
* Widow/Orphan control on printouts.
Coming Soon
* Capacity of 1900 lines of data.
* Time Code Trimming, Help screens, List Sorting.
* Transfer the list to and from an edit controller.
* Built in time code reader to grab in and out points directly off the tape.
* List cleaning.
* Function key macros.
* User programmable colors.
* Let me know what you want!
