  1. STE:Tools of the Trade

  3.    To the tour guide, it's his map. To the tailor or seamstress, it's
  4. the pattern. To the architect, it's the blueprint. To the builder, it's
  5. his tape measure, his yardstick, his level. To the mathematician, it's
  6. equations. To the writer, it's a dictionary. To the chef, its their
  7. recipe. To the explorer, it's a compass. To the pilot, it's a flight
  8. plan. To a police officer, it's the law. To the sailor, a navigational
  9. chart. To the surgeon, it's his xray.....
  10.  
  11.    TO THE CHRISTIAN, IT'S HIS BIBLE.

  13.    Each of these things are aids.... tools; but one requires specific
  14. skills to properly use the tools....... one requires knowledge in order
  15. to perform; one must have a certain degree of DESIRE TO LEARN in order
  16. to gain the information/knowledge needed.
  17.  
  18.    We could have the very best in the way of tools.... but if we don't
  19. know how to use them..... or worse yet, if we have no desire to use
  20. them.... they are useless to us.
  21.  
  22.    The Bible clearly tells us: "To learn, we must want to be taught."
  23. As Christians we are truly blessed because God has planned it so that
  24. anytime anyone desires to know Him...to learn about Him.....HE WILL
  25. TEACH US ....... through a wide variety of ways.

  27.    When what we are asking IS IN LINE WITH GODS PERFECT WILL.... as
  28. wanting to know Him is..... God tells us ....guarantees us....that we
  29. have it....not future-tense "will have"....but present tense "have";
  30. when we say to God "Father, I want to know you better"....we are, in
  31. the very words we are using, exhibiting our desire... and He will
  32. increase our desire; He will quench our current thirst while at the
  33. same time increasing it; He will satisfy our hunger while at the same
  34. time increasing our appetite.....

  36.    "To those that have, more will be given." FANTASTIC!

  38.    He promises to increase our increase!! AS long as we hunger for Him,
  39. He will satisfy us; as long as we thirst for Him, He will quench us.
  40.  
  41.    There is no end to God's perfect Love and mercy and kindness; He is
  42. untiring! He is infinitely patient.
  43.  
  44.    HE IS GOD - ALMIGHTY!
