  2. SHALL ISRAEL BE DESTROYED? 
  3.  
  4. Will Israel ever be overrun and destroyed? If so, when and by whom? If not, 
  5. why? Will the P.L.O. gain power and crack the wall of Israel's strength and 
  6. morals? Will Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, or others possess Israel's real estate? 
  7.  
  8. Most of us know that Israel was recognized as a nation in 1948 after being 
  9. without a "homeland" for more than 1,900 years. Now, the Jews have a place to 
  10. call their own. "...Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children 
  11. of Israel from among the heathen... and bring them into their own land. And I 
  12. will make them one nation..." Eziekiel 37:21, 22. We, also, have read 
  13. scriptures that refer to Israel "budding" forth as a fig tree in Hosea 9:10 
  14. and Matt. 24:32-36. 
  15.  
  16. And we should know that we are in the last days of grace. Yes, even time 
  17. itself, as we know it. We know this by such scriptures as Israel speaking 
  18. Hebrew (Zephaniah 3:9). Israel scattered for 2,000 years (Hosea 6:2, Jeremiah 
  19. 31:8-11), increased rainfall in Israel (Ezekiel 34:26) and Israel blooming 
  20. like a rose (Psalm 102:16).

  22. All of these different signs have come to pass, yet Israel is continuing in 
  23. battle and is seated in the "hot spot" of the world. One has to wonder when 
  24. will Israel be defeated? 
  25.  
  26. To find the answer, let's look at Israel's track record; who has she fought 
  27. against and the results and who is next? 
  28.  
  29. 1948 - Having just become a nation, Israel is attacked by arabs. The attack 
  30. was repelled. 
  31.  
  32. 1956 - Attacked again by 5 Arab nations. Israel came out on top. 
  33.  
  34. 1967 - The Six Day War. Israel's 2 million people took on 55 million Arabs. 
  35. They won with unusually low losses. 
  36.  
  37. 1973 - Israel was attacked by Syria and Egypt, with Syria having the upper 
  38. hand. Syrian troops stopped their advance, for some unknown reason, and Israel 
  39. ended up with more land than before. 
  40.  
  41. 1982 - June - Israel invasion into Lebanon to stop P.L.O. terrorists raid on 
  42. her northern areas. 
  43.  
  44. PEACE - Is There, Or Will There Ever Be, True And Lasting Peace In The Middle 
  45. East? 
  46.  
  47. When Israel has a peaceful northern front (from the P.L.O.), she will be 
  48. surrounded by "paper peace". Jordan (on the ease), control of the 
  49. Mediterranean Sea border (on the west) and Syria and Lebanon (on the north). 
  50. With the P.L.O. in control, Israel will be dwelling in safety.

  52. For some unknown human reason, up to this point, Israel has come out on top as 
  53. a winner... with more land, fewer deaths and equipment losses than anyone she 
  54. has come up against. Will it continue this way? 
  55.  
  56. Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 talks about an attack on Israel that is yet to 
  57. come. And attack that will be stronger and using more slodiers than any other 
  58. attack against Israel. 
  59.  
  60. "... in that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely... and thou (Gog) 
  61. shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou and many people with 
  62. thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: and 
  63. thou shalt come up against my people of Israel..." Ezekiel 38:14-16.

  65. There is little doubt that Russia and her allies will mount a force and attack 
  66. Israel with non-nuclear weapons. They want and need the oil rich Middle East 
  67. minerals in the Dead Sea and year-round shipping ports. Any nuclear attack 
  68. would make these unusable for many years. 
  69.  
  70. It is reported that Russia is building a fleet of gigantic "blimps" capable of 
  71. carrying thousands of troops in full field equipment plus 500 tons of cargo. 
  72. They will be nuclear powered, keeping them airborn for 7 years (before 
  73. refueling). Ezekiel 38:16. 
  74.  
  75. HOW CAN ISRAEL FIGHT, MUCH LESS, WIN AGAINST SUCH A FORCE? 
  76.  
  77. "And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the 
  78. land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face... 
  79. and I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains. And I 
  80. will plead against him with pestilence and with blood: and I will rain upon 
  81. him and his bands, and upon the many people that are with him an overflowing 
  82. rain and great hailstones, fire and brimstone." Ezekiel 38:19, 21-22.

  84. Ezekiel 39:11-15 states that Israel will use visitors and tourists for 7 
  85. months to help bury the dead invaders. So many dead that God is preparing 
  86. ravenous birds of every sort to help devour the dead. 
  87.  
  88. WHY? Why is God going to intervene and help Israel in time of war and 
  89. invasion? Israel, a nation of people that refused to accept Jesus Christ as 
  90. the Son of God. The answer, "so the house of Israel shall know that I am the 
  91. Lord their God." Ezekiel 36:22.

  93. When will Israel face "Gog" of the north? "It shall be in the latter days." 
  94. Ezekiel 38:16. 
  95.  
  96. The main reason for knowing how close Israel is to war with a super power is 
  97. to realize how near we are to the return of Jesus. (II Thess. 4:16-18).
