  8.    This is an excellent book written for our times. The Authors name
  9. names and exposes the danger to Sound Doctrine by the intrusion of such
  10. things as cosmic wisdom, humanism, the ocult, psychology and the New
  11. Age philosophy. They also expose some of the modern day hucksters that
  12. abound today. This is a very good book, one that should be read by
  13. every Pastor.

  17.    This is a good work on diversity in the Local Church's outreach. You
  18. can get some good ideas on how to get the most out of your present
  19. building (if you have one) by diversification of ministrys.

  23.    An excellent study on Brokenness. If you have ever gone through a
  24. split or a power struggle of any kind. This is the book for you.
  25. Perhaps you, like myself could think of several people you would like
  26. to have read it.

  28.    -J. Grant Howard, "Balancing Life's Demands", Multnomah Press,
  29. Portland, OR, $5.95.

  31.    This is an excellent work on Priorities. We are all familiar with
  32. the phrase, "Keeping your priorities in order" - well Howard does and
  33. excellent job of killing that sacred cow. The popular view of
  34. Priorities goes something like this; God, Family, Job, Church etc. The
  35. Author uses Matthew 22:34-40 as a spring board to launch out into Five
  36. main areas to explain how the Believer is to keep his life in Balance.
  37. The pentagon in the center contains Self and God with the 5 points
  38. representing Family, Church, World, Work and Government. I found it a
  39. fresh approach to the application of ALL the imperatives we find in the
  40. Word. Scottie Allen.
