  3.           PRIMARY LOYALTY
  4.  
  5.      The Bible teaches that in heaven there will be
  6. redeemed people from every language and ethnic group, from
  7. every racial group, from all the families and nations of
  8. mankind, all around the throne of God worshipping Him.
  9.  
  10.      Whenever a person receives Jesus Christ by faith as
  11. Savior and Lord, that person's previous ethnic or racial or
  12. cultural status is superseded by the "new creation", their
  13. new identity as part of God's "holy nation."
  14.  
  15.      The apostle Peter wrote, "But you are a chosen
  16. generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own
  17. special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him
  18. who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light..."
  19. (I Peter 2:9 NKJ)

  21.      Becoming a Christian will not change the texture of
  22. your hair or your skin color, but with Jesus Christ as your
  23. King, all other loyalties or identifying factors become
  24. much less important.  Our common identity with Christians
  25. of other races or nations is an eternally stronger bond
  26. than we have with even our own parents or siblings, unless
  27. these physical relatives have also trusted in Christ.

  29.      If you claim the name of "Christian", Jesus your Lord
  30. demands that you acknowledge your obedience to Him as the
  31. controlling factor in your life.  He also demands that you
  32. acknowledge Christians of any race or nation as your
  33. brothers and sisters, to whom you owe an eternal loyalty.
  34. Read Matthew 11 and 25, and John 17.
  35.  
  36.      Some people who claim to be Christians actually hate
  37. people of other races, even Christians of other races.
  38. John wrote, "If someone says, `I love God,' and hates his
  39. brother, HE IS A LIAR; for the one who does not love his
  40. brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not
  41. seen."  (I John 4:20)  Read the whole letter of I John, and
  42. note the "symptoms" of someone who has eternal life.

  44.      If you realize that you are not yet a real Christian,
  45. put aside any hatred you bear, and repent from all your
  46. other sins, too, and join the Forever Family today:  Put
  47. your trust in Jesus.
