  2.           WE AIM TO PLEASE
  3.  
  4.      Ordinarily, public relations and publicity campaigns
  5. and advertising are for the purpose of pleasing people.
  6.  
  7.      While all our inreach and outreach activities are
  8. intended to be of benefit to people, our aim is not
  9. primarily to please people, but TO PLEASE GOD.
  10.  
  11.      If our message is rejected, we will not change its
  12. substance to please people.  When it is accepted, we will
  13. not glory in "our" success.
  14.      Our policy is the same that the apostle Paul stated,
  15. "We speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the
  16. gospel.  We are not trying to please men, but God, who
  17. tests our hearts." (I Thessalonians 2:4 NIV)

  19.      Our faith is determined not by the majority of our
  20. "constituency", but by the Holy Scriptures, the Old
  21. Covenant interpreted through the New Covenant.  Our
  22. programs and ministries are generated by our "standing
  23. orders" in the Bible, and not simply by the "felt needs" of
  24. our membership or our target audience.

  26.      We want to fit into God's program, rather than asking
  27. Him to put His stamp of approval on ours.    We're aware
  28. that some of the things we do are affected by people and
  29. "tradition" in meeting times and formats and some of our
  30. operating procedures, but the "housekeeping details" are
  31. always much less important than our mission as the people
  32. of God on the earth.

  34.      In a sense, we are propagandists, and our primary
  35. message is best found in the Gospel of John.
  36.      A "propagandist"  is one who is deliberately trying to
  37. persuade people to a new viewpoint.  We are part of a
  38. grassroots "God movement", and seeking to spread the
  39. influence and promote the interests of our King, the Lord
  40. Jesus Christ.  We warmly invite you to read our favorite
  41. "propaganda", in the New Testament.
  42.  
  43.      It is our ambition to bring glory to God by attempting
  44. such great things for Him that if He does not energize us
  45. with His own mighty power, we can only fail.  This way,
  46. when we succeed, we can only give the glory to Him.
  47.  
  48.      We aim to please GOD.  Come join us.
