  2.           CHILDREN OF GOD

  4.      Some churches which claim to be Christian talk about
  5. the "Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of all Mankind",
  6. and speak of this as a central truth of Christianity.  If
  7. you are one who believes in this notion, here is a shock
  8. for you:  That idea is not taught in the Bible.
  9.  
  10.      The apostle Paul wrote, "For you are all sons of God
  11. through faith in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:26 NKJ)
  12.  
  13.      It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that a person
  14. becomes a "son" of God.
  15.  
  16.      We read in the Gospel of John that the Word, the
  17. Creator, "became flesh and dwelt among us" (1:14) as Jesus
  18. of Nazareth, the Messiah of Israel, and that "as many as
  19. received Him, to them He gave the right to become children
  20. of God, even to those who believe in His name: who were
  21. born...of God." (1:12-13)  This God-birth is spoken of in
  22. John 3.

  24.      There is ONE VERSE, quoting Paul in Acts 17:28,
  25. speaking of people in general as "offspring" (Greek: GENOS)
  26. of God, and it is followed by Paul's statement that God
  27. "now commands all people everywhere to repent."

  29.      It would take only several hours to read through Luke,
  30. John and Acts for yourself, to see for yourself that we are
  31. telling you just what the Bible says.  Ask God to show you
  32. the Truth as you read.

  34.      If you want to be a REAL child of God, repent of your
  35. sins, put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior and
  36. Lord, and you will be born into the Forever Family.  Don't
  37. delay; do it NOW.
