  2.           "WHAT ABOUT THE HEATHEN?"
  3.  
  4.      "You say I've got to accept Jesus Christ as my Savior.
  5. Well, what about the heathen who've never heard?"
  6.  
  7.      This is usually a smokescreen question thrown up by
  8. people who want to shift attention away from themselves.
  9. But here is a Scriptural answer to it:
  10.      God has given each human being a conscience, and has
  11. put us in a universe which testifies to His power and glory
  12. and wisdom and order.
  13.  
  14.      The apostle Paul observed, "For since the creation of
  15. the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being
  16. understood by the things that are made, even His eternal
  17. power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse..."
  18. (Romans 1:20 NKJ).

  20.      Although neither conscience nor creation can inform of
  21. the redemption provided for believers in Christ, Paul makes
  22. the point in Romans 1 and 2 that "they are without excuse"
  23. for their SIN.

  25.      People will be judged and condemned for their SINS,
  26. whether they have ever heard the Good News about Jesus
  27. Christ or not.  Certainly, it is a very serious sin to hear
  28. this "good news" and reject it, but this is just another
  29. sin, and "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23).

  31.      The rest of the letter to the Romans explains that the
  32. Law of God was given to show the need of a Savior.  Trying
  33. to follow conscience or trying to keep the Law will never
  34. save anybody.  The point is that people who have Bibles of
  35. their own as well as people who have never heard of Jesus
  36. of Nazareth all need a Savior.  Otherwise, we can only
  37. receive what we deserve: eternal DEATH in Hell for our
  38. sins.

  40.      If you are genuinely concerned about the "heathen
  41. who've never heard", you should take Jesus Christ as your
  42. Lord and Savior, and GO TELL THEM!
  43.  
  44.      But if you have not yet received the Lord Jesus, we
  45. would ask, what about YOU? You HAVE heard.  What about the
  46. "heathen" holding this paper?
