  2.      FULL MATURITY
  3.  
  4.      The goal of our ministry is not simply to see
  5. a whole lot of people born into the kingdom of God and
  6. leave them squalling as spiritual babies.
  7.  
  8.      Our goal for ministry is the same that the apostle
  9. Paul wrote of to the Colossians:
  10.      "To them (the saints) God has chosen to make known
  11. among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery,
  12. which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.  We proclaim
  13. Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so
  14. that we may present everyone perfect in Christ."
  15. (Colossians 1:27-28 NIV)
  16.      The Greek word here translated "perfect" could also be
  17. translated "complete" or "mature".

  19.      The Scripture-based goal for our ministry is full
  20. maturity in Christ for EVERYBODY.  God has given us all the
  21. equipment that we need in the Scriptures of the Old and New
  22. Covenants. Paul wrote to his trainee, Timothy:
  23.      "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for
  24. teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in
  25. righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly
  26. equipped for every good work." (II Timothy 3:16-17 NIV)

  28.      We are learning that the Bible is not only inspired
  29. and inspiring, but also USEFUL for identifying and
  30. CORRECTING problem areas and teaching us how to live.

  32.      We challenge you to read the Bible for yourself.
  33. Start in the New Testament in the Gospel of John. Come and
